The Red Scarf

Fahredin Shehu
January 2012, Prishtina, Kosovo

The Red Scarf

…and the cold breeze of January
Freezes actual feelings and memoirs
In the quartz I see your face, Dad; I recall now
You argue telling me to behave as in my actual age.
The child in me I pamper for so many years
Rebellious; yet calm stands in the front, kneeled
Yet Proud, never denied what he got from heavens

You planted those seeds tiny as Sequoia’s; now the tree
Reaching the whiteness of the Clouds and I miss you so much
Reis is constantly singing your name as Nightingale

In the vast yard of the Temple; in the City as white as it
Where two rivers gurgling their remembrance
I dare not cross the path leading to the Shrine
Until it has a Call for the Souls as I possess
She opens the window from where we saw
Halogens warmly overwhelming the Landscape
The bottle of Million pink Champagne is empty
Few hours before the rooster has to sing the awakening

Her hair as clean as silk and the eyes pure Lapis Lazuli

…and the silhouette of maternal care embodied in a Lady
The fear for loss of the last galactic endowment is omnipresent
I stand a whirling Tornado; in velocity dispersing what the men
Calls Blessing, not only for Men but for all of the “All"

BLACK STAR the fourth book of Maxim Zuzin, Russia

http://maximzuzin2.blogspot.com/2010/12/my-fourth-book.html

Two short stories from the BLACK STAR by Maxim Zuzin

The earth is the Lord’s, and the
fullness thereof; the world, and
they that dwell therein.
(Psalm 24:1)

The treasury of Chingiz Khan

To start with Mongolians, all nomads did not like gold nor diamonds. Their young men and elders grew cattle in hundreds and thousands to pay as a fine for a wife but an Arab or Chinese with a golden trinket, such as some shining earrings might strike down the suit and carry away a girl or woman, making all nomad husbandries as void of sense. So, Chingiz Khan robbed half the world and as though confiscated all the jewelry to hide in a mountain hole on the territory of Shambala, now Shushenskoe district. It somehow balanced the forces of gravitation in this locality and this gold was accursed.
They said that somehow there was a kind of world jewelry bank on a place where the mighty Jenisej river became very fast and whirling, and to reach it was possible only by ropes holding the boats and even in alpinist style by a security belt and again rope. The other hole of this cave looked on an abyss in about three thousand feet into a pit. That is why Mike’s cousin Andrew, walking on the spring ice might not get out of the water when he fell down though the ice into the river even though he tried to get out by crawling backwards on the ice as an expert would do. There was a whirl of water alike to that in a bath when the water would be let off, so, it sucked him and gave out some jewelry his partner ranger was able to catch, which he gave a testimony for in a drunken party of memory of Andrew. Then, they said Andrew was given a premium and lived on Brighton Beach. For Mike, it was a way to get rid of him due to Andrew accused himself of his father’s death because of living with a young woman and parting with his wife, while Mike had saved his own father Jack. Then, Mike granted his part of the gold to the Russian government through a woman who got five billion dollars share. Mike had the documents from old juridical scrolls to the fairy tales of the local tribes to prove that he knew about that hidden treasure, but, KGB thought the gold was accursed and superfluous and wanted a laundering of good sex on the part of Mike to clear this gold from the debts before the God. As a woman joked when Mike had a favor from her to just grant somebody the treasures of Ghingiz Khan, so he did.

Conquering Moscow

The calling for adventure which Mike had in his soul brought him as far as to Moscow. First, the city seemed to be welcoming but then his hospitality lacked and the young man saw himself in a surrounding of strangers where all looked on him as on a vagabond without any liaisons, the one who had no other ways as to become a criminal. Mike followed the suit and his legs toted him as far as to a public house of whores. He paid his money to the pimp and had sex with a hooker. Then, he naturally stayed for some time in the luxury house of an elite prostitutes establishment. The entire house looked to be so kin that Mike fell in love with this business and the organizer proposed him a job in the whorehouse as a security guard. The job was according to Mike’s heart: the girls badly needed sex and wanted to be loved by anybody for a certain sum as a pledge of serious intentions and a forfeit against some false apply. They even brought some women from the wives of businessmen on the brink of craziness to get relaxed by an excuse of earning money as working off some debts. Mike arranged for a discount as he paid for the prostitutes from his wages as a security guard and even made bargains for the wives of the businessmen with their husbands. Really these poor madams were on the threshold to anything bad, being pumped up with liquor and narcotic drugs, strong as ecstasy and soft as marihuana. So, Mike loved them fleshly and also the prostitutes to warm them up for good clients and charge with sexual energy.
The main duty of Mike was to punch the muzzles to the bad clients who turned to be impotents who came for complaining about their fates, the same as chase off and belabor those young unwise men who came to “save” the girls from the ignoble trade for the sake of being “honest” while the girls wanted simply to be f*cked and the sooner the better. With this approach and a position of Mike, the establishment began to bring profit because the clients were psychologically wrought through by Mike’s behavior and all was ok on the beds in the rooms. The beaten up boys also had nothing to do but to pay money to approach to their ladies sold to whorehouse and they did for good because were afraid of Mike. The girls were from well-to-do families and after few days or a week of intensive sex forgot about drugs and aspired for education and career having so many relationships and the new girls arrived to take jobs. So, the establishment had now not only a reputation but a good spirit also. Mike did execute his duty and had to come home to Shushenskoe, but he did not want to do it with bare hands. He eavesdropped that the mobsters along with the Federal Security Service compiled a small lorry of money as an overdue payment to policemen for the special orders. They could not just bring the money to a police office, they needed a mediator. So, Mike played a bully without notions of what might be right or wrong in the criminal world with its moral values and came for a scrap and serious talk and drove the lorry to the policemen making all necessary juridical maneuvers and keeping it easy but for some fight with the soldiers-gangsters. In return, Mike got a suitcase of money in dollars which he came home with, drunken and calm before his conscience.
‘Mom, I cashed all money we earned with our family in the agricultural trade and came back.’ Mike professed.
‘My son, due to you returned home so fast and without spending money, I will forgive you a pair or three of faults in the future in advance.’ The mom promised. Though she called to a high police officer in Moscow to find out if all was Ok with that money and legal. ‘Do not worry. He shared this money with us, all is well.’
Michael soon forgot about this affair but when his girl Julia and her mother with his own mother had talks with him to the effect he needed a job, he proposed Julia to come to Moscow to use all his knowledge and skills with education.
‘You do it wrong to press on Mike with your job theme. If he comes to Moscow this time he’ll never return back home I feel that. And, the suit of cards will bring good to him in Moscow, so he will surely have a harem and you Julia would hardly leave him for anybody else. Accordingly, these next wives maybe strange for you Julia while you would be better if you stayed with him here and invited your own girlfriends to live together in a harem.’ The father Jack warned.
After that, Julia persuaded all that Mike himself was preoccupied with finding a job and realizing his talents while she just wanted to help him. All calmed down and Mike returned into his routine of life which without being boring promised stability.

THE MOONLIGHT AND MY MEMORY
Am I a child who has last his garden
Am I a riding boot lost but found by you
Am I a diffuse cloud after you collected
Or a fish asleep in the river
Or a petal dropped from the Milky Way

Am I a sword that is unable to pierce darkness
O, my memory, flying over Jiayu Pass
Flying towards the north, then southwest
On the way home
No tourist appears.

LONELINESS AND LITTLE YELLOW FLOWERS
O, the little yellow flowers
Swaying in the breeze in June
I think you would not be unhappy
When seeing me moving towards you
Even half of the sky and the lonely tablet inscription
Are all covered with dark cloud

Shandu, you hear my tired voice
Like a running pony heartbeat fast
O, the little yellow flowers
I think you will be touched
When you know I love you so much .
