A burden by Fahredin Shehu

Fahredin Shehu
A burden

What the air, flame and water could not bear
It is hidden in the layers of the rocks
And the resin amber lumps keep long
Memoirs of the extinguished insects
And the bones and flesh of the Mammoth
In the deepest Womb of the Ice
What may be seen is the top of an iceberg
Evaporating the amber
What they may lament
Is the sequence of life past inexperienced
Bloody gluttonous; devastating a particle
Of the beauty which is the Jewel
In the crown of Divine
She bowed to kiss with
The scarlet lips – this mere creature; yet
Out of her Grand mercy but for whom
The car and the exploiting plants
Of Gaia’s treasures are chopped mercilessly
Only for the Insatiable and the daemon’s
Pride- who shall be richest
Until it looses the entire reason
